Which payment methods does Bustani support?
Stripe for card payments in 40+ countries, M-Pesa STK Push for clubs in East Africa, and bank-transfer reconciliation anywhere. All payments post automatically against the right member or invoice.
Which countries does Bustani serve?
Bustani is built for Rotary clubs worldwide. Multi-currency, multi-timezone, and multi-language support is included, alongside handling for regional tax-receipt and compliance rules. Pilot clubs are in East Africa; the platform is designed to operate anywhere.
Does it work for whole districts, or just one club?
Both. Each club gets its own isolated workspace; districts can roll up reporting and governance across every club they oversee, and members can serve in more than one club without duplicate accounts.
What about welfare and donor management?
Welfare cases, disbursement approvals, and fund balances are tracked end-to-end with multi-step approval workflows and a full audit trail. Donor management covers campaigns, recurring gifts, tax-compliant receipts, and a dedicated donor mobile app.
How long does setup take?
Most clubs are live in about 20 minutes — set up the club, import members, configure dues, and you can start collecting payments the same day.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Starter plan is free for small clubs and includes member management, dues tracking, and basic reporting. Paid tiers add welfare workflows, donor management, multi-club rollup, custom branding, and priority support.
Where is the data hosted, and is it secure?
Data is hosted on DigitalOcean's Frankfurt region with encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security per club, and routine backups. Compliant with GDPR, the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, and other regional data-protection frameworks. Custom hosting regions are available on Enterprise plans.
Can members access it on their phones?
Yes. Members get a mobile app for iOS and Android to view dues, RSVP to meetings, track welfare, browse the directory, and follow projects. Donors get a separate app to give, manage pledges, and follow impact updates.
